Privacy Policy for Stop Time

Last updated: 8 August 2026

Stop Time is a game about guessing when to stop a hidden stopwatch. This policy explains what it

collects, what it does not, and how to get anything removed.

The short version

do in the game — your times, your scores, your settings — is recorded anywhere but your phone.

The app does talk to Google for two things: the adverts, and a small settings file that controls

how often adverts appear.

advertising ID is not used.

What is stored on your device only

Kept on the phone, never transmitted, and erased when you uninstall:

the answer "under 13" or "13 or over".

The advert settings file

The app asks Google's Firebase Remote Config, roughly once every twelve hours, how often adverts

should appear. This is how the advert pacing can be corrected without waiting for an app update.

order to make the request, and the answer is the same for everybody — it is a handful of numbers

like "show an advert every third round", not anything personal.

attaches an installation identifier that is specific to this app on this phone. It is not linked

to you, and it is erased when you uninstall.

What is collected when you play online

Only if you open Online Battle:

email address, a phone number or a name, and it exists purely so two phones can find each other.

use your real name.

your opponent can be told if you disconnect.

This is held in Google Firebase Realtime Database and sent over an encrypted connection. Match data

is transient and exists only for the duration of a match.

Advertising

The app shows one full-screen advert between solo rounds, supplied by Google AdMob. There are no

adverts during a round, at app start, or in the two-player and online modes.

and approximate location for this. Where the law requires it — the EEA, the UK and similar — you

are asked for consent first and may refuse, in which case no advert is requested at all.

child-directed and non-personalised, which stops the advertising ID being used, and limits advert

content to a general-audiences rating.

Google's own policy covers what they do with advert data:

What the app never does

Children

The game is suitable for children, and part of its audience is children.

Personalised advertising is switched off for anyone who tells the age screen they are under 13. Their

advertising ID is not used, and advert content is limited to a general-audiences rating.

Online Battle is open at every age. The only free text anybody can write is their nickname, and there

is no chat, no profile, no photo and no message of any kind. Nicknames are refused if they contain

profanity, sexual terms or slurs, or if they look like contact details — a phone number, or a handle

on another platform. Nobody can be found by browsing or searching: a challenge only reaches you if

somebody already knows the exact nickname you gave them. Any player can be blocked from your phone.

If you believe a child has provided information you would like removed, email the address at the top

and it will be deleted.

Deleting your data

This section is the deletion route for Stop Time Battle, published by YatedLabs.

To have your online data deleted: email admin@yatedlabs.com from any address, with the

nickname you used in Online Battle in the message. No account or password is needed, because the app

has neither. Requests are actioned within 30 days and you get a reply confirming it is done.

What is deleted: the nickname itself and its claim, so it is free for somebody else to take,

together with the anonymous ID it was attached to and any match still in progress. Nothing survives

that could be used to find you again.

What is kept, and for how long: nothing. Match data is transient in any case — a round exists

only while it is being played and is removed when it ends, whether or not you ask for anything.

Local data — everything in the "stored on your device only" list above — is not held by us at

all, so there is nothing to request: uninstalling the app removes all of it, and clearing the app's

storage from Android's settings does the same without uninstalling.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version will always be

at this address.
